 Sometimes in art a dialogue takes place across time and culture. The Russian Doll represents a traditionally veiled village woman with red cheeks. Being the symbol of fertility, she carries smaller versions of herself inside.

My version of the Russian Doll is a voluptuous, simple yet complex representation of a woman, half shy, half teasing, she is lush and daring - shameless in her pose, a liberated woman: One who dares to challenge tradition and show herself in  new light: The modern day doll, she’s everywhere...
