The Shadow of Innocence is what remains after innocence has been touched but not destroyed.
The face is still present yet fractured, partially erased by vertical weight and emotional gravity.

Color drips downward like consequence.
What was once open becomes guarded.
What was once pure becomes aware.

This is not loss.
It is the first moment of knowing.
The shadow is not evil it is memory forming.

The work exists between tenderness and defense, where innocence survives, but never again without depth.
